Skype works, shows I have internet, but browser wont go online

I'm getting ipv4 internet access, says I'm online, skype works but not one browser or steam will connect to the internet and I can't get on the web without it saying page not found. It worked fine last night before going to bed but today nada. I have called my cable provider and they say its my pc and if true what do I do to fix this.

What to do if skype is online but browser is not?

Open an elevated Command prompt and run these commands in succession:

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /all

In Network and Sharing Center, under "Change adapter settings", check the result of the report after you right-click your connection/s and select "Diagnose"?

Try to change your DNS settings through Control Panel / Network and Internet / Network and Sharing Center / Change Adapter Settings. Try to input 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4.
